Chinese New Year - Day 3~~~

1 bad thing of sleeping in the living room, esp in my grandmother's hse is... U can never sleep later than 8am. Why??? Coz all the adults dunno y love to wake up early and start preparing breakfast, which makes LOTS of noise.

I was awake at around 7:30am. Standing at the sliding door... Waa... Am I in Genting Highland or in Kelantan??? Why izzit so misty???

misty...

Time for breakfast. In Kelantan, people usually have Nasi Dagang or Nasi Putih wif lauk for breakfast. In Kuala Lumpur, hardly v can find such nice malay food...

As I mentioned before, we are going for a day trip to Tumpat today. Tumpat is a town situated approximately 15-20km from the capital, Kota Bharu. Many Siamese Malaysian live here. Hence, there are many Buddhist temples or wats here.

Among them, the most famous is the Wat Phothivihan, a temple which houses a 40-metre statue of a gigantic Sleeping Buddha, one of the largest and longest in South East Asia. The devotees of this temple are mainly ethnic Thais, and the temple itself is a typical Thai Buddhist temple.

Take a closer look...

Surrounding the giant Sleeping Buddha, there are many buddhas which each represent an animal zodiac. I found the buddha that showing my zodiac - PIG.

After all the praying, we took a rest while having coconut water at the stall near the temple.

Next stop, Wat Machimmaram, the largest Sitting Buddha in South East Asia. As you can see from the photo, the giant 30-metre-high, 47-metre-wide brown Sitting Buddha with pure gold lips is sitting tall, cross-legged in a meditation pose above the temple.

Another closer look at the Sitting Buddha with me inside. Hehehe...

At the temple, there's this quite famous (according to my relatives) fortune teller. All you need is your date of birth, and he will write out all the informations and numbers on a piece of paper and he will slowly explain to you 1 by 1 on your career, your health, your studies, your business, etc...

my paper...

To believe or not??? Well... is all depends on yourself. My brother and sister went for it as well. When comes to my brother's turn...

His 1st sentence: 'You are studying izzit? Very lazy to study... Am I correct?' Me and sis were laughing there as my brother really very lazy to study,.

His 2nd sentence: 'You sleep til very late rite everyday? When there's class, you wake up early but sleep til very late when there's no class and need ppl to call u many times to wake up rite???' OMG!!! Im laughing non-stop. Wat he said is so TRUE. We didnt even mention anything to him yet.

His 3rd sentence: 'Dun argue with your gf so much. Your gf has bad temper, rite?' OMG OMG~~~!!! How he noes everything???

Well, I must agreed that he's good.

As for me, I asked bout my career, health and of coz relationship.

Career:
He said that the industry Im doin now is good for me. This year is not a good year for me to consider chainging job. *sob sob*

Health:
He said that I'll have head problem, e.g. headache. He adviced me NOT TOO THINK TOO MUCH which I alwiz will la... Hehehe~

Relationship:

'Your bf tall and big???'
he asked.

'Tall & thin'

'Hhmm... Dun worry... He will become fat later on.'
HAH~~!!!!! Better make sure my baby dun put on weight. Hahaha!!!

'Dun argue with your bf so much. You alwiz complain too much....'
Errr... How he noe haar? *face red*

Is lunch time, my uncle brought us to this new restaurant which served Thai food.

After lunch, we went to Wat Phothikyan as known as Double Dragon Temple. The most eye-catching icons here are the two colourful dragons flanking the entrance. Each head rests on an archway, with the Flaming Pearl of Immortality in the middle.

The centre of attention here is the new 33-metre-high Standing Buddha. Gleaming white, he looks serene. The left hand holds a lotus flower and he stands on a double lotus bloom. It is the tallest freestanding Buddha in South-East Asia.

Here, there's also a semi-open air fragrant herbal hot bath house which have separate areas for men, women and families. Many believed such baths helped wash away bad luck. Dad, brother and uncle went for the hot herbal bath.

'The smell is horrible... Yuck!!!'
My brother said. Hahaha~~~

Last stop, the beach. How can we miss the beautiful seaside of the East Coast???

beach...

The beach is definitely cleaner than the beach in Port Dickson. Hehehe... Here, you can see people playing kites...

Gonna bring my baby for this 1 day trip when he's here... Hopefully nex year lah.

Oh~! FYI, Im did not camp in the living room that nite... Hahaha~~~ I managed to squeeze myself into an air-con room. :-p
