Restaurant Xiao Fei Yang~~~

This is my 2nd time visit to Restaurant Xiao Fei Yang.

restaurant xiao fei yang...

While taking our time to pick the dishes we want, they served us with some appetizers - salted peanuts, tofu and pickles.

appetizers...

There are 3 types of sauce - chili oil, black pepper and erm... i dunno what izzit, bcoz to me, it tasted abit weird. Haha~! But... when you mix 3 of them together, it actually tasted quite nice.

sauces...

Here come the drinks... They have variety of fruit juice with 2 sizes - small & big, i mean VERY BIG~!!!

'giant' watermelon juice...

For our soup, we choosed the combination soup base - non-spicy herbal soup and extreme-spicy "ma la" soup.

Different from other steamboat, Restaurant Xiao Fei Yang served you with their most traditional soup base. For the non-spicy herbal soup base, it consists of more than 30 types of herbs and are boiled more than 12 hours using slow fire. This makes the soup super delicious...

As for the extreme-spicy soup, it consists of more than 50 types of herbs, with the additional special chili oil which has been cook for 8 hours.

These 2 unique soup base are the shop main specialities. Within 5 years, Xiao Fei Yang had opened thousands of outlet across mainland china...

Pizza Uno~~~

-text adapted from Pizza Uno

Visited Pizza Uno in Centerpoint Bandar Utama a few months back. Always wanted to try the food here but this outlet is always packed with people during weekends. Finally we managed to try it out on one of the weekdays.

Pizza Uno started as Pizza Italia in USJ in 1997. After 18 months, the 2nd outlet was opened in Kuala Lumpur. Now, there are total 3 outlets in Klang Valley ( USJ Taipan, Centrepoint Bandar Utama, Bandar Puteri Puchong ).

It was started as hobby but their concept of "Quality food at affordable Prices" caught on to make Pizza Uno (Pizza Italia) a popular family restaurant.

There are a variety of food listed on their
menu which gave me a tough time to decide which 1 to have.

We started off with Cream of Mushroom (RM9). It is freshly made from fresh mushroom. Before tasting the mushroom soup from
Delicious
, this soup is actually the best. But now, it rank 2nd. Hehe~!

cream of mushroom...

Next, we have Vongole Aglio-Olio (RM16). At first, i think is abit too pricy but when the food served.. Wwooo.... There's ALOT~! The spicy sauce matched perfectly with the clams. *yumm yumm*

vongole aglio-olio...

Here comes our main dishes...

My baby ordered Marinara Sauce - Spaghetti served with seafood and white cream (Rm28).

spaghetti marinara...

And I ordered Beef Lasagna. Many of you will be wondering 'This girl dont even eat cheese and she's ordering lasagna which topped with cheese...' Haha~! I only eat cheese that is baked la...

beef lasagna...

After the meal, my stomach already so full BUT...... How can you resist all the delicious dessert they have??? Especially with my favourite Bread & Butter Raisin Pudding which served with cream Anglaise (RM9).

traditional bread & butter raisin pudding...

The dinner was great after all. It is definitely a meal that will lighten you up after a busy, hactic day...

The story begins......

Once upon a time, a mother brought her cute little daughter (I mean very small) out for a walk at the shopping mall. And of course, they went to the kiddie departments where there are lots n lots of toys around. But... this cute little gal wasn't feeling too good that day and keep making noise. No choice, the mother have to take a cute toy to manja her while carrying the cute little gal in her hands...

After finished shopping, they left the shopping mall and took a taxi back home.

Back at home...

'Dear, such a cute doll you bought for her today...'
said the husband.

'OMG~!!! OMG~!!! I never pay for the doll. I totally forgot bout her holding the doll... '
Wife replied shockly.

Meanwhile, the cute little gal was sleeping soundly with the cute doll in her hands.

The end.

Featuring:
my dear mummy as the mother...
my dear daddy as the husband...
ME of course as the cute little gal...

this is my favourite doll...

I noe I noe... Is not cute at all. But... I juz love it so much because I actually 'steal' it from the mall when Im small.

Korean B.B.Q. Restaurant~~~

Korean BBQ for dinner with my baby, his brother, his sister and his future-to-be brother in law.

We decided for Daorae @ Kota Damansara at first but there was a 'long queue', so we changed our plan and headed to Restaurant Dae Sa Kwan @ Desa Sri Hartamas. Due to the high residential population of Japanese and Korean at this area, you can notice there are a huge numbers of Korean restaurants around.

Dae Sa Kwan - Korean BBQ restaurant...

The menu has its '大使馆' (embassy) style. Hard cover menu with unique pattern on it. Nice~! But, inside is all in korean words with English description, NO PICTURES! I better leave it to them to order while i take as many photos as i can...

the menu...

Here, they serve us with free flow of plain cold water. Wet towel to wipe your hands and if you want, your face. :-p

cold water and wet towel...

Guess wat~!!! Both the silver coloured elongated chopsticks and spoon are NOT light ok. The longer you use them, the heavier you will feel.

chopsticks and spoon...

We started with some appetizers. We have 5 people, so they served us with 2 sets of 10 different types of appetizers. Hmm... think of it, actually is not some, is ALOT. Some of it are pickled veges (Kimchi) and some are just normal home cook veges.

10 types of starters...

The main dishes...

Here is the Spicy Shell Fish & Seafood Casserole (Rm70)! You can see crab and octopus 'lying' there waiting to be boiled in the hot soup... This hot pot also served with assortment of veges, lala, toufu etc. This dish definitely enough to serve 5-6 people.

spicy shell fish & seafood casserole...

served with white rice...

Not to be missed.... B.B.Q.

We ordered Marinated Beef Ribs (RM55) and Fresh Beef Sirloin (RM55). Wanted to order more but we afraid that our stomach might get exploded after all the food, so we'll save them for the next visit...

marinated beef ribs...

fresh beef sirloin...

One good thing bout Korean BBQ, the waiter will do the barbeque part for you. Setting up the fire, barbeque the meat, making sure that the meat not burnt, serve the meat in a plate for you... It save our time and energy.. I love it~~~

setting up the fire...

barbeque-ing...

ta da~~~ beef ribs...

To complete this dish, it must be served with garlics, green chilies and green veges.

complete set...

The proper way of eating... taught by KC...

Take a piece of vege, put in garlic and chili... Then the delicious barbequed beef slice... Spread some sauce on it... Wrap the whole thing up... Put the whole thing in your mouth... Chew it slowly... Taste every single bite of it...

*yumm yumm*

wrap by my baby...

Do the same way for the beef sirloin...

ta da~~~ beef sirloin...

I can say is abit pricey for the main dishes. But they serves complimentary appetizers, cold water and fresh fruits for dessert... Is still feels ok huh?

Thanks Cynthia for the wonderful meal :D

Home cook Har Mee of course has its differences compare to those bought outside.

1) Much tastier becoz you dun add water into the soup when is almost finished...

2) Self-service. You can take your own portion with as many ingredients as you want...

3) You can have extra pork ribs, fishball without any extra charges...

4) You can have as many bowls of Har Mee as you like... have... Hm... 2 bowls! :-p)

Noodles + Ingredients + Soup = A 'big' bowl of DELICIOUS home cook Har Mee...

Restaurant UFO Steamboat~~~

29th June... My sister's and uncle's birthday. So, we decided to have the birthday dinner at Restaurant UFO Steamboat. This UFO Churning Pot Steamboat is newly open steamboat buffet restaurant in 3Two Square, near Section 14, PJ.

restaurant UFO Steamboat...

the menu...

The steamboat pot have 3 portion. There are 6 varieties of soups in a week for you to choose: chicken, tom yum, corn, herbal, chrysanthemum and mandarin soured spicy. They claimed that the uses quality water - realiable water filtering (Hmm... what's the difference? Wil the soup taste nicer? Haha...).

steamboat pot with sauces decorated around...

As mentioned, it is buffet style steamboat. There are about 100 dishes for you to grab: different types of fishballs, mushrooms, vegetables, dumplings,
noodles, etc...... 1 thing for sure, all the dishes are FRESH~!

our UFO pot...

Now, here comes the boxing chicken. When the waiter walking out from the kitchen with the tray of dish in his hands, you can see people starting to follow him closely... getting ready to FIGHT for the chicken. Within seconds, the full tray of boxing chicken are gone. Wow~!!!

1... 2... 3... 10... 30... 40... OMG~!!! Just within SECONDS~!!! Everything GONE!!! However, my cousins and I managed to FIGHT for the chicken.

now you see it...

now you dont...

The most wanted boxing chicken. The chicken are coated with nestum, which makes it so crispy and delicious. *Yumm Yumm*

After a round of FIGHT, me of coz have to treat myself with at least 2 pieces while others onli have 1. Too bad... Haha~~

ta da~~~ most wanted boxing chicken...

Dessert time. ICE CREAM~~~ My favourite...

ice creams...

Now, we have another option to go for buffet steamboat. No need to travel all the way down to Sunway for Yuen steamboat and have to wait for such a long time to get a place. Plus, I prefer the environment here as it is not that chaotic like Yuen Steamboat. Well, of coz, both have their own goods and bads.

There's only 1 thing bout not that strategic bout this restaurant. The place is quite out of the way. So I dont think many people know bout it. I do hope they will have more advertisements and promotions to attract customers. I believe they will do well in the future if they maintain the standard they are having now.

I'll come back again for sure~~~
