Annual Majlis Berbuka Ramadhan 2008~~~

My company organized a Majlis Berbuka Puasa at The Saujana Kuala Lumpur, five minutes from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Subang.

To avoid jam, me and my colleagues left the office after work and headed straight to the hotel. Well, me being so 'smart', led my colleague to the wrong direction. It is almost near the terminal 3 airport only I noticed we are a distance ahead from the hotel. Hahaha~~!!!!!! Make a U-turn please... Sorry guys... :-p
At last we managed to find our way there after making few S.O.S. calls. Hehe~!

Many tents, beautifully covered tables and chairs are set up by the pool side.

Raya Holiday Cancelled~~~ *UPDATED*

On the 26th September 2008...

Few days after I blog about the
memo issued on cancellation of Raya leave
, another memo is out again...

'...the updated working day for our upcoming Hari Raya festive season...'

29 Sept 08 Working as usual
30 Sept 08 Working as usual
3 Oct 08 Annual leave (if no patients)
4 Oct 08 Working as usual

Only extra 1 day leave and is a compulsary leave??? How about 30 Sept??? Im sure Muslim colleagues wanna have extra time to prepare for the festive season... Haih... I felt sorry for them again... Not even a half day is given for them to head back to their hometown.

'...there was a miscommunication with regards to this...'

Again... MISCOMMUNICATION... What we expected to appeare on the memo!!!

Is fine for those who stay near KL. 2-3 hours journey is not tat tiring. How bout for those that are staying far from KL, like... Terengganu??? We cant expect them to drive after work at 5pm, for 5-6 hours (if include traffic jam I bet it will take another 2 hours extra).

Anyway, I guess this will be the last memo on this issue.

I wish all my Muslim colleagues...

SELAMAT HARI RAYA
MAAF ZAHIR BATIN

I miss my baby JOEY~~~

For those who dunno... I oredi gav my baby Joey away to my cousin brother in Penang. Why? Dun ask me y coz i'll start crying... *sob sob*

Haha~! Dun worry. Im not crying. Im giving her away coz I've too many dogs at home and since my cousin wanna take care of her, so I send her off lo. Is definitely better than me giving to someone I dunno and I totally have NO CHANCE to see my baby Joey again.

Hope my baby Joey will be happy over there in a new environment la~~!!!!!!

~~~ I GONNA MISS U ALOT, MY BABY JOEY ~~~
Raya Holiday Cancelled~~~
On the 16th of September 2008...
Received a memo stating the Hari Raya Aidilfitri Holiday for my company.
'... company will be closed for the coming festival period as follow:'
30 Sept 08 compulsary leave
1-2 Sept 08 public holiday for Raya
3 Oct 08 unrecorded leave
Well, my company is alwiz so kind that they will usually give their staffs extra leave before and after a festival holiday. And of course,
everyone are very excited over it and starting to plan for the coming long holiday.
On the 22 September 2008...
Received another memo stating the CANCELLATION of Hari Raya Aidilfitri Holiday
'...company will resume business as usual on the 30th Sept 08 and 3rd oct 08...'
OMG!!! Wat a shocking news!!!!!!
'... there was a miscommunication wif regards to tis...'
MISCOMMUNICATION??? AFTER 1 WEEK THE MEMO WAS ISSUED??????
I cant believe this is happening. Everyone (esp Muslim colleagues) has planned their holiday for this festive season and now... they have to change their plan just because there's miscommunication happening in the management???
I felt sorry for my muslim colleagues. Now everyone busy planning who to take leave before Raya and who will take leave after Raya, as there cant be no one around at the department during business hour.
There's no production during that period in my department so is fine for my colleagues to take leave and head back hometown to celebrate Raya with their family members.
But... no more holiday for me la.... Haih......
Trip to Krabi - Dinner on 1st Nite~~~
Time to update abit on my Krabi trip. Was abit busy wif my pending work in office... Hehe~
It was quite late after we settled into our room. So we went to the restaurant in our resort to have dinner - The Watermark Seafood Grill Restaurant.
the watermark seafood grill restaurant...
There are many unique decoration ard the restaurant...
unique deco light...
unique fork & spoon...
Due to the long distance journey + the hot weather there, all of us ordered fresh fruit juice to cool us down...
me: guava juice please...
baby: orange juice...
baby's sis: watermelon juice please...
baby's sis-in-law to be: Hhmm.... Banana juice la...
me: *so loud* eeeee yyyyeeerrrrr....... BANANA juice???!!!????
Of all drink.... Y la banana juice??? I really wonder how it taste like... Isnt it very filling + fattening??? Hahahaha.......
clockwise: orange juice, guava juice, watermelon juice, eee yyyeerrr... banana juice
First come some appetizer...
Cheese and bacon served only 1 per piece to 1 customer. How does it taste like? Well... I dunno coz I gave my portion to baby. I DUN LIKE cheese~!!!!!!
cheese and bacon...
They also served you with some fresh bread and buns together with some toppings... margarine, vinegar + garlic, sambal & salad sauce. The sambal taste delicious. But... Have to control myself abit. If not before the main course comes, I'll be very full...
fresh bread with toppings...
Here comes the Tom Yum Goong. It served with mushrooms, shrimp and shrimp wonton. 1 bowl is enuf for 2 person. Well, it was ordered spicy but... Is not that spicy. Out of what we expected from Thailand where Tom Yum is known to be VERY spicy. Anyway, the soup was tasty and the shrimp are BIG!!!
tom yum goong...
We ordered 4 main dishes to share.
1) Yum Nua Yang - The spicy roasted beef salad
This salad is really spicy. Beware!!! Chili padi hiding here and there. If you accidentally bite it, the nex thing you will be doing is start wiping your tears non stop. Hahaha~~~
yum nua yang...
2) Nua Poo Pad Phong Karee - Sauteed crab meat with yellow curry powder
I find this dish OK OK only because is quite salty. I drank quite alot of water after the meal.
nua poo pad phong karee...
3) Pla Tod Sam Rod - Breaded fish fillet served with 3 flavors sauce.
The fish is crispy and the flesh is so smooth. The sauce taste different but I prefer eating the fish plain.
pla tod sam rod...
4) Kaeng Kiew Warn Gai - Green chicken curry with thai eggplant
This green curry taste very different from those we ate back in Malaysia. Delicious~~~
kaeng kiew warn gai...
There are 3 types of rice to choose from - white, red and brown rice. I tried all 3 and find it no differences besides their colours. Haha~!!!
white, red & brown rice...
It was a nice dinner for the nite. The price was quite reasonable as it is served in a resort. Im sure eating outside at a restaurant will costs almost the same or mayb slightly lower.
Before we leave, they will provide us with cold hand towel. See~! The wrap the towel into a 'rose' shape.
'rose' shape hand towel...
To be continue...
