Krispy Kreme~~~

The first time I came to know about Krispy Kreme was when Im still studying in Adelaide. Friends who went to Melbourne will definitely bring a box or two back. What so special bout this donut??? I only can say.... U try it... U will know the answer.

Finally, Krispy Kreme has entered Malaysia and is located in Berjaya Times Square.

Went over to BTS for window shopping and... I managed to buy 2 dozen of donuts. Hahaha~!!!

If you ask me, which do I prefer? J-CO? Big Apple? Krispy Kreme? Well... My ranking will be...

1. J-CO
2. Krispy Kreme
3. Big Apple

Kripy Kreme is slight more expensive then J-CO donuts. And I find Krispy Kreme donuts abit sweeter than J-CO. But... the texture of both J-CO and Krispy kreme donuts is prefect. U have 1 and u will not stop having another 1 after that.

Making Cupcakes~~~

This cupcakes was made 2 weeks ago before my baby's birthday. I was thinking to giv him surprise by making cupcakes for him since he alwiz say i dunno how to cook or bake. To prove him wrong... I'm gonna make it...

Did some research thru the net... and found some recipes. To make sure I didnt get thgs mess up, me and sis decided to do a trial run in making the cupcakes.

From the recipes I found, we choosed the
'Coca Cola Cupcakes'
coz is the easiest. Hahaha~!!!

Here's the recipe...
Coca cola cupcake
Ingredients
Part One
- 1 cup coca cola or other cola drink
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup powdered cocoa
- 22 large marshmallow
Part two
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs, beaten

Method
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line cupcake pans with paper liners. These cupcakes work best with the silver metallic liners.
Part one
1. In a small saucepan mix cola, butter, vegetable oil and cocoa.
2. Bring to a boil, remove from heat, and add marshmallows.
3. Place lid on saucepan and leave until marshmallows begin to melt. Stir well.
Part two
1. Mix flour, sugar, and baking soda in a large mixing bowl.
2. Add buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
3. Combine Part One and Part Two in the mixing bowl.
4. Spoon cupcake batter into cupcake pan liners until they are 1/2 to 2/3 full.
5. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Coca Cola Frosting
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup powdered cocoa
- 6 tablespoons coca cola or other cola
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 and 3/4 cup powdered sugar (one 1 lb box)
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method
1. In a medium saucepan, mix together cocoa, cola, and butter. Heat over medium heat until melted then bring to a boil.
2. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar, pecans and vanilla. Stir until blended well.
3. Let frosting cool until stiff enough to frost cupcakes.

Well, to be honest... It didnt really successful. I give it 55% la our of 100%. The texture of the cupcakes wasnt tat good, but the taste is fantastic.

After doin some evaluation, is either we put less better of we put too much milk. The recipe comes in 'cup'... which is abit hard for us to estimate how much half cup of butter is. And... we have a tough time looking for buttermilk. So we replace buttermilk with milk and add abit of buttermilk essense (I know is weird~!). Mayb becoz of that the texture didnt seems to come out like wat we expected.

Here are some of the photos...

mixing part 1 & part 2...

1st round: weird shape... hahaha~!!!

2nd round: it looks much better...

3rd round: yeah~! 80% successful...

We did the cupcakes frosting the next day.

Let me tell u something. Can imagine the taste of 'Ferrero Rocher' in your mind now???

Yes~!!! The forsting tasted exactly like tat. Just tat is abit sweeter la...

cupcakes frosting...

cupcakes frosting...

Anyway... it was a good experience for me and sis. Now we realised why they can sell cupcakes at such 'high' price. Is not easy ok. For me la... Hahaha~!!!

Chocolate~~~

Ever try this chocolate before???

Ritter Sport is a German chocolate bar. The 100 grams square-shaped bar is divided into 16 smaller squares, creating a four-by-four pattern. It also comes in large bars weighing 250 grams and mini-bars with only 16.5 grams but with a lesser choice of flavours.

This is one of my favourite chocolate~!!!

Voll-Nuss – Milk chocolate with whole hazelnuts

big (250g) and small (100g)
